Conservation-led internal alterations to a Category C listed Arts and Crafts villa
Heritage Consultant for Ladywood Lodge, a Category C listed Arts and Crafts dower house (George Bennett Mitchell, 1904). Prepared a detailed Heritage Statement to support listed building consent for sensitive internal reconfiguration, enabling modern family use while retaining the building’s architectural and historic significance. The work included research into its Arts and Crafts ‘chalet style’ character, plan form, and conservation of formal rooms and original interior fabric.
The conservation-led approach balanced functionality with minimal intervention to safeguard its distinctive early 20th-century domestic features.
