Heritage statement and conservation advice

Heritage Consultant preparing a comprehensive Heritage Statement for a 17th-century former laird’s house within a historic estate. Provided historical and archival research, analysis of maps and imagery, and assessment of architectural, archaeological, social, and landscape significance. Conservation advice informed planning and listed building consent applications for sensitive internal alterations and a modest subservient extension.

Interventions retained circular stair tower, inglenook fireplace, surviving courtyard elements, and the wider historic setting, balancing minimal intervention with sustainable adaptation for continued family use.
